Daughter to George Barrera and Martha Valerio, Tessa hails from South Texas. Her Athletic talents were recognized as she compiled All South Texas honors in both Basketball and Volleyball while attending W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi Texas. During her days on the hardwood it was not uncommon for Tessa to use all 5 fouls in a game prompting her Basketball coach to tell her that she would make a hell of a Line Backer if she were a boy. Well coach, you were half right. After seeing Lingerie Football on television Tessa and her mom made the trip to Los Angeles from the Lone Star State for a try out. When asked why Los Angeles Tessa responded with, "They were defending Champs, and I'm a pretty sore loser." While Tessa Barrera's looks made her a Hawaiian Tropic finalist in Texas, on the grid iron could best be described as DeMarcus Ware in booty shorts. There is never a question of where Tessa is on the field. Number 20 can be seen causing havoc on every defensive play during a Temptation game. A leader on and off the field, Barrera is a prime example of a Closer.
Fun Facts:
Tessa has a Pitbull/Mastiff named Kiedis after Anthony Kiedis of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Tessa's Brother Jorge Barrera doubles as her football trainer and even with thousands of faithful followers she still considers her 9 year old sister Ally and her 7 year old brother JoJo to be her biggest fans. For fun Tessa enjoys performing Lil Wayne at karaoke bars. (If we insist maybe we can get that on video)
